08/24/10: BulwienGesa's comprehensive analysis of industrial property in Germany
The independent property market research and consulting company BulwienGesa, with the help of seven leading industrial property market players (aurelis Real Estate, Beos, ECE Projektmanagement, NAI apollo, Union Investment, Valad Property Group and Vivico Real Estate) analysed market potentials of the – so far overshadowed by other types of commercial real estate – asset class. On the basis of an overall assessment of the German economy, which is dominated by small- and medium-sized companies, industrial property categories were defined following the ULI (Urban Land Insitute, Washington D.C.). Analysing stock and ownership structures as well as presenting a brief overview over the defined six property categories, the report contributes to improving transparency of this – in Germany still underrepresented – investment category. The report aims to become a tool for investors and financiers, as well as industrial property managers and owners, allowing them to assign their property into to a certain category. This offers certain reliability in case of a sustainable valuation of a respective scheme.
